"Be the One" screened at the Sunscreen Film Festival

Last Fall, I did the grading for the Swiss Musicvideo "Be the One". It made its way finally to the States, so we had the opportunity to attend the Sunscreen Film Festival in Tampa Florida. It was just awesome, the clip found its place in one of the short Drama blocks and was well integrated into the other shorts.

I worked out the final grading concept with the director Remo Fritzsche. We came up with the idea that we don't want to go just with black and white in the beginning of the clip. Although black and white has its own aesthetics of course. Yet we wanted something a little bit different, so we decided to add after the black and white grading a slight colorisation of orange/yellow in the highlights and cyan/blue in the shadows. Thanks to the experienced gaffer who did a great lighting job, we ended up with a smooth look during the whole clip.
